Croatian Presidency priorities presented to the social partners

Zagreb, 24 January 2020 - Minister of Labour and Pension System Josip Aladrović and State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Nikolina Brnjac today presented the Croatian Presidency priorities to the representatives of trade unions and the Croatian Employers’ Association. 

Minister Aladrović presented the priorities of the EPSCO Council in the field of employment and social policy: skills development as an incentive for employability and competitiveness, enhancing well-being at work, promoting gender equality, and empowering women in the labour market. Minister emphasized the importance of social dialogue and cooperation with social partners in creating and implementing efficient employment and social policies. 

State Secretary Nikolina Brnjac presented four main priorities of the Croatian presidency of the Council of the European Union and invited social partners to actively participate at the conferences and events organized under the Croatian Presidency.

Ana Miličević Pezelj, representative of the Union of Autonomous Unions of Croatia, stated that importance of the Croatian Presidency and the willingness of the social partners to support its activities and efforts.
